This summer we found an army of hungry woodlice munching on the apples growing in our back garden. Too impatient to wait until September, we decided to pick them early and use them up before there was nothing left for us.
I guess making home brew isn’t really your typical toddler-friendly activity, but our daughter loved picking the apples, putting them in the blender and then using our press to get the juice out.
The verdict from our future master sommelier? It smelt of sausages and tasted of ‘red’.
